2 women and 3 children injured in heavy shelling by Houthi militia in Taiz

Two women and three children have been seriously wounded on Saturday as Houthi rebel militia shelled civilian areas in the southwestern city of Taiz.

Local sources said the Iran-backed rebel militia “fired a rocket on an inhabited house in the neighborhood of Madinat Al-Noor, west of the province.”

The five victims sustained life-threatening injuries and were immediately taken to the city’s hospitals for medication, the sources noted.

The injured are the children Naseeb Mahyub Saeed, Amir Ali Thabit and Lutf Badr Ahmed, and the woman Kadria Mohammed Hussain. The sources didn’t provide the name of fifth injured woman yet.

The Houthi militia has killed and injured hundreds of unarmed civilians in Taiz through shelling residential areas in the city indiscriminately on daily bases.
