The spokesman of the National Army Forces Brig. Gen. Abdu Mujali has said the Houthi militia, with support from Iran, is planning to move its battles into the sea to carry out terrorist attacks targeting commercial ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
Mujali was qouted by the ‘Okaz Newspaper’ as saying that “Iranian experts are present in Al-Luhaya and Al-Salef directorates and they are training Houthi militia on using self-propelled booby-trapped boats and marine mines to execute terrorist operations in the coming days.
He said the Houthi militia is preparing to equip more than 400 explosive-laden boats at the hands of Iranian experts, who have been training dozens of Houthis coming from Saada province, under the supervision of the bodyguard of the militia leader, the so-called “security supervisor” of Hodeida, Abu Ali al-Kahlani.
Brig. Gen. Mujali said the Houthi militia has continued to implement Iranian agendas and pushed additional reinforcements into Hais and Toheita, south of the Hodeida, exploiting the comic play carried out under the UN’s sponsorship, in the city’s three ports.
The army spokesman did not rule out coordination between the Houthi rebels and African pirates with Iranian mediation.
He confirmed that there are military plans and moves by the national army and there is a shift in the military operations, praising the army’s success in defeating the coup’s militia in Al-Dhale and Al-Bayda provinces.
He also praised the air strikes waged by Arab coalition to support the legitimacy, saying it contributed to the failure of many Iranian plans and disconcerted the Houthi operations room in Sanaa, stressing that situation after the attacks on the Saudi and Emirati ships hasn’t been as before it.
