Attorney General and Defense Minister Discuss performance of Military Prosecutions

The Attorney General of Judge Qaher Mustafa, discussed on Monday with the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Dr. Mohsen Mohammed Al-Daari, in the temporary capital, Aden, the conditions of military prosecutions and the challenges they face .
The discussions covered several administrative and regulatory procedures aimed at improving the performance of military prosecutions, developing the legal cadres working within them and aligning these developments with the ongoing modernization of the judicial system.
The Attorney General emphasized the important role of the public prosecution in establishing justice within the military institution. He stressed his office’s commitment to supervising the work of military prosecutions and following up on cases to ensure the swift administration of justice, and to dealing with any violations with strictness and transparency .
The Minister of Defense affirmed the ministry’s keenness to activate the role of the military judiciary and provide the necessary requirements for its development. He pointed to the importance of continuous coordination with the public prosecution to ensure the enforcement of law within the armed forces .
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the importance of continuing coordination between the two sides to follow up on the implementation of what was agreed upon to enhance the role of military justice in upholding rights and preserving order and discipline within the armed forces .
