Yemeni Ministries Reaffirm Constitutional Loyalty Amid STC Secessionist Declarations

September Net
In the wake of recent secessionist statements issued by members of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) currently serving in government, several Yemeni ministries have issued public responses reaffirming their loyalty to the constitution and the unity of the Republic of Yemen.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports was among the first to condemn attempts to politicize the institution or misrepresent its stance for political gain.
In a statement issued today, the Ministry emphasized its full commitment to the Yemeni Constitution, national laws, and the directives of the Presidential Leadership Council chairman, particularly those dated December 21, 2025.
The Ministry rejected unauthorized political or military statements made in its name, describing such actions as violations of public service ethics and the legal framework governing state institutions.
It confirmed it would pursue legal and administrative action against employees or affiliates misusing their roles to express support for separatist agendas.
The Ministry’s position echoes similar statements made by other ministries such as the Religious Endowments ministry, the Industry and Trade ministry and the Justice ministry, all underscoring a broader government stance against the politicization of public institutions.
