Al-Khanbashi Reviews Ongoing Work at Al-Wadiah Customs

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Governor of Hadramout, Salem Ahmed al-Khanbashi reviewed Tuesday the ongoing work at al-Wadiah land port customs.

He also reviewed the level of customs performance and the challenges affecting the smooth flow of trade.

Al-Khanbashi listened to a detailed briefing from the Director General of the port’s customs Abdulhaq Lahsan on the procedures for the entry and exit of citizens, the smooth movement of goods, and customs revenues.

He expressed his appreciation for the efforts made in serving citizens and enhancing public revenues.

The PLC member highlighted the importance of facilitating customs operations and overcoming all difficulties in order to improve performance and enhance the quality of services provided.

He also stressed the need for coordination among various agencies to ensure the effectiveness of customs procedures.

Al-Khanbashi affirmed the local authority’s commitment in Hadramout to facilitating customs work and addressing all obstacles, contributing to improved performance and the development of services.

In a related context, al-Khanbashi discussed with the Director of the Business Support and Development Unit at PetroMasila Company Engineer Mohammed bin Nabhan and the Director General of the Oil Company on the Hadramout Coast Abdulrahman Balfas the supply situation of petroleum derivatives in Hadramout Governorate.

The discussion covered current supply levels, plans to strengthen strategic reserves, and improve transportation and distribution processes, emphasizing the importance of ensuring sustainable supplies in the coming period.

Al-Khanbashi stressed the need to raise operational readiness of the distribution system and enhance coordination among relevant agencies to ensure regular availability of fuel derivatives.

This, he noted, would contribute to stabilizing electricity services and easing citizens’ suffering, affirming that this issue is a top priority for the local authority due to its direct impact on citizens’ lives and essential services.
