Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, alongside fellow member Major General Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Shaya Zindani, performed Eid al-Adha prayers on Wednesday with large crowds of worshippers at Al-Khair Mosque in Khormaksar District of the temporary capital, Aden.
The Eid prayers were held in a spiritual and faith-filled atmosphere reflecting the values of compassion, solidarity, unity, and social cohesion embodied by the Islamic occasion.
Also attending the prayers were Minister of Information Moammar al-Eryani, Minister of State and Aden Governor Abdulrahman Sheikh, senior government officials, local authority leaders, military and security commanders, social figures, and large numbers of citizens who gathered from the early morning hours to celebrate the blessed Eid.
During the Eid sermon, worshippers were reminded of the virtues and significance of Eid al-Adha as an occasion that reinforces the values of obedience, sacrifice, generosity, tolerance, and social solidarity among members of society.
The preacher highlighted the importance of drawing inspiration from the occasion’s lessons of patience, steadfastness, giving, and compassion, while stressing the need to support poor and vulnerable families and bring joy to those in need.
The sermons also addressed the significance of Hajj rituals and their profound spiritual meanings, emphasizing the unity of Muslims gathered in worship and devotion to Almighty Allah.
