A young man was killed on Saturday by sniper fire from the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia in Maqbanah District, west of Taiz Governorate, in another crime added to the militia’s record of violations against civilians.
Local sources said the young man, Abdul Latif Jameel, was killed after being directly shot by a Houthi sniper while riding his motorcycle on Al-Qashaa road in Maqbanah District. He was shot in the head and died instantly.
In a similar incident, a woman was severely injured on Friday by sniper fire from the Iran-backed Houthi militia while she was grazing sheep in the Al-Qahifa Al-Ulya area of Maqbanah District.
The sources said the victim, named Fawzia Hassan, was directly shot and sustained injuries before being taken to a medical center for treatment.
The Houthi terrorist militia continues to target civilians in Taiz Governorate through heavy shelling and sniper fire, in repeated violations of international humanitarian law, leaving dozens of women, children and the elderly dead or injured.
