CYB Signs MoU with UNDP

The Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) Ahmed Ghalib signed today, Thursday, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in the temporary capital, Aden, aiming to strengthen joint cooperation in the fields of financial technology and digital innovation.

The MoU included working on establishing a Financial Technology Lab (FinTech Lab) at the CBY’s headquarters in the temporary capital Aden, to serve as a specialized platform for developing and testing innovative financial solutions and technologies.

The governor of the CBY praised the role of the UNDP in supporting the bank’s efforts to develop the financial infrastructure and promote financial inclusion.
