Presidential Leadership Council Member and Hadramout Governor Salem al-Khanbashi met Thursday with UNESCO Representative in Yemen Nuno Laviera to discuss protecting Hadramout’s cultural heritage and developing its archaeological sites.
The meeting focused on restoring Al-Mukalla Museum and Sultan al-Quaiti Palace, supporting traditional crafts, and developing sustainable cultural and tourism programs.
Laviera reaffirmed UNESCO’s commitment to supporting efforts to preserve Hadramout’s historic and architectural heritage.
