The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi held today, Monday, talks with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva on the ongoing developments in Yemen’s economic situation, the progress of government reforms, and ways to boost cooperation to support stability and economic recovery.
The talks took place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings in New York.
The conversations also touched on the impact of the escalation by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias on Yemen’s economy, humanitarian conditions, regional security and the threats they pose to international navigation in the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
