Army scores new victories in Saada province
National Army on Sunday entirely took over the strategic chain of mountains al-Azhoor located in Razeh district north of Saada province.
The liberation came after a surprised attack carried out by the forces of the 7th Border Guards Brigade against the positions of the coupiat militia, which fled and retreated from the freed mountains.
During the attack, the Arab coalition jets supported the army forces on the ground by launching a number of air raids that hit the fortifications and reinforcements of the Houthi militias.
Dozens rebels were killed and wounded by the fighting and air-strikes, and several of their military vehicles were destroyed as well.
Meanwhile, the army’s engineering teams have demined the liberated sites and hills within the al-Azhoor mountains from mines and explosive devices laid by the militias prior to their withdrawal.
