Prime Minister Dr. Ma’een Abdulmalik met on Thursday with British ambassador to Yemen in Saudi Capital Riyadh.

The prime minister said a radical resolution of the ongoing war in Yemen lies in uprooting the causes of the war, the Houthi coup d’état of September 2014.

Abdulmalik  affirmed the resolution needs to be in line with the three locally and internationally agreed upon terms of reference for peace; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue and the UNSC resolutions mainly resolution no. 2216 (2015).

Abdulmalik said that the Iran-backed Houthis war against the Yemenis is still continuing and causing a collapse in all aspects of life.

He mentioned every day the militias design new setbacks and schemes to avoid peace as is clear in their failure to observe the Stockholm Agreement.
