Defense Minister: Armed Forces will not abandon one grain of the country’s soil

Yemen’s Defense Minister  Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Mqdashi said the Yemenis backed by their Armed Forces are engaging  in the national battle against Houthi militia and Iranian agendas.

Addressing a military graduation ceremony in Marib on Tuesday, he said Yemenis are able to defend the country and finish liberating it from Houthi militants who seized power and cities in a military coup in 2014.

“Armed Forces today are besieging the militia in Hodeidah, and standing at gates of Sana’a and they will not abandon one grain of the country’s soil”, he added.

“Under the leadership of His Excellency, the President of the Republic Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi the army won’t relinquish its constitutional and national duty of countering the rebel militias، and terrorist groups”, he pointed out.

He also conveyed to the officers and cadets the greetings and congratulations of His Excellency President Hadi, and his deputy Lt. Gen. Ali Mohsen on the 56th anniversary of the glorious revolution of 14th October, which erupted from the Radfan Mountains to liberate the south of the homeland from the clutches of colonialism.

He praised the Saudi support in building Yemen’s armed forces and helping the Yemeni people fight for the control of their territories from the Iran affiliate Houthi militia.
