Army thwarts Houthi militia infiltration attempt in Taiz
Yemeni armed forces on Tuesday thwarts an infiltration attempt by the Iran-backed Houthi rebel militia in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen.
A group of Houthi militiamen tried to infiltrate into army positions in the early hours of morning, west of Taiz city, but the army failed the infiltration, and inflicted the Houthi militia heavy losses, both in terms of life and combat vehicles.
Moreover, the Houthi militia shelled army positions in the fronts of Lahj and Al-Dhale provinces, and the army responded to those attacks, inflicted the Houthi militia heavy losses.
The army continues to follow President Hadi’s orders for a cease-fire in response to the UN call.
