Defense Minister, Lt. Gen. Mohsen Al-Daeri, has stressed that the treacherous terrorist attack on a security point in Ahwar city of Abyan province, will not dissuade the armed forces from fighting terrorist organizations, pursuing its elements to their hideouts and cleansing the homeland of their absurdity and criminality so that all people enjoy security, stability and tranquility.

During a phone call he made with Abyan Governor and Commander of Military Pivot Major General Abu Bakr Hussein, the Minister of Defense stressed on the need to remain vigilant, and raise combat readiness and alert for confronting any similar terrorist threats or operations against army and security forces, pointing out to the necessity of coordination between the various military and security units to confront terrorism and deter whoever wants to destabilize the liberated provinces.

The Minister of Defense said that the cowardly terrorist operation clearly indicates the close cooperation between the two terrorist organizations Al-Qaeda and the Iran-backed Houthis, affirming military institution will not hesitate to confront and defeat both of them.  

The Minister of Defense offered sincere condolences to the families of the martyrs of duty who were targeted by the cowardly hands of terrorism, and his wishes for a speedy recovery for the wounded.
