HRC: 217 civilians killed and injured in last September in Taiz over militias’ war

The Humanitarian Relief Coalition in Taiz province has issued a report Wednesday saying that Houthi-Saleh militias’ war in Taiz in last September resulted in killing 74 people, including 17children and 3 women, and wounding 143 others, including 11 children.

The coalition added that 15 families were forcibly displaced from thier homes, mainly in southwest the city.

It also said that it monitored the destruction of 13 houses, facilities, vehicles and private and public properties in the same period.

The report noted that the health situation in the city is getting deteriorated as a result of continued increase number of people affected and suspected with cholera to hospitals, where deaths amounted to 14 cases and 14240 cases are affected during last September.

It appealed to government to pay the suspended salaries of more than 67 thousands civil servants who haven’t been paid for 12 months.

The coalition confirmed that Taiz received a thousand ton of white flour from Turkish Red Crescent, distributed to government employees through four relief agencies.
