Dep. Premier and Minister of Civil Service Abdulaziz Jubari inaugurated the re-issuance of passports in Taiz, nearly three years after the local automated issuance center closed due to the Saleh-Houthi militias’ invasion of the city.

The rebel militias have been pushed to Taiz perimeters where they are laying siege around the city, but the local authority with a presidential assistance, by an oversight mission headed by Jubari, and tel-follow ups by H.E President Abdu Rabbu M. Hadi, is working to return all pre-war state authority and services back to normal inside the city.

“The re-inauguration of passport issuance is a significant step in the process to re-operate the state institutions in Taiz,” said Jubari upon the issuance of the first passport.

“The progress of work to re-normalize life is going at a distinguished pace, given that the Central Bank’s branch, executive offices, schools and universities, and security and military apparatus premises have all been re-opened.”
