Seven children have been killed and four others injured on Thursday by the Houth-Saleh militias’ artillery attacks on a residential neighborhood in Taiz city, southwest Yemen.

Residents told September Net that a mortar shell fired by the Houthi-Saleh putschists from their positions in the city’s northern outskirts landed on a house on Thursday evening, killing seven children and wounding four others in Enswah area, in 30th Street, western the city.

Medical sources reported that they received the four children and that they sustained fatal injuries in the shelling, pointing out that the number of deaths is expected to rise.

Notably, the Houthi-Saleh insurgents have, for long, been dedicated to bombing the highly populated areas in Taiz, leaving heavy casualties among citizens, most of whom are women and children.

The rebels also have been imposing a tightened siege on the third largest city in Yemen, blocking essential food and medical supplies as well relief aids from reaching people, which led to a shocking humanitarian crisis in the city.
