National Army forces have recaptured Thursday several areas and positions from the Houthi militia southeast Taiz city.

The army troops managed to regain full control over Naqeel Al-Selwe, a strategically important mountainous highlands, al-Aqus region and a key school al-Najah, military sources told September Net.

The sources said that fighting between the army and militia resulted in killing 20 Houthis and wounding others, adding the army artillery also shelled gatherings and sites of the rebels led to destroying armed equipment.

The insurgents militia retreated and fled battlefield as they are suffering collapses in their ranks, the sources added.
