Army forces achieve strategic victory in Al-Jouf province

National Army forces, backed by Arab coalition warplanes, on Saturday liberated a strategic military camp ‘Taibat al-Esm’ in Al-Jouf province.

After days of blockade, the army troops stormed the military camp today and managed to recapture it following heavy battles with the Houthi militia in the district Barat-alanan northwestern the province, military sources told September Net.

Dozens of militia members were killed, injured and captured during the liberation battle, in which army also recaptured a great deal of weapons and ammunition.

Meantime, the geographically significance of the liberated camp lies in its location between Jouf and Saadah provinces. It was also used by Houthi militia as training and gathering spot for its militants before the liberation.

In addition, the recapture of it also enabled the army forces to cut off militias’ supply lines that were coming from ‘Dohrah’ region and ‘Wadi al-Qaeef’, situated between the two provinces, too.
