The Saudi Air Defense Forces intercepted and destroyed on Monday two ballistic missiles launched by the Houthis from Sa’ada northern the country in the direction of civilian populated areas in the Saudi city of Jazan.

The spokesman for the Saudi-led Arab Coalition, Col. Turki Al-Maliki stated that
the missiles were fired to target residential areas, and fragments of the destroyed missiles sprinkled over neighborhoods but fortunately no casualties have been reported.

“This hostile act by the Iran-backed rebel militia proves the continued involvement of the Iranian regime in supporting the militia with quality capabilities in a clear defiance of the UN resolution no. 2216 and resolution no. 2231 and a violation of the International Humanitarian Law.”
