Army regains control of strategic locations in Saada

National Army forces have made new progress on the ground against the Iran-backed Houthi militia in the north-west of Saada province on Saturday.

The army forces have liberated today, a number of strategically significant hilly positions during fierce attack carried out against Houthi sites in Kitaf Directorate, 143rd Brigade’s commander Deyab Al-Kabli stated to September Net.

General Al-Kabli added that the warplanes of Arab coalition supported the army during the attack by bombing the positions of the militias.

The Houthi militia suffered heavy losses in manpower, and many of its combat vehicles were destroyed.

He said fighting is still taking place amid big progress for the army troops, although the vast fields of landmines planted by the rebels to slow down the army’s advancements.
