National Army forces managed to liberate the strategic military camp “Al-Umri”, west of Taiz province on Friday.

A military source affirmed to September Net that the army forces launched a sudden attack on Houthi militia inside Al-Umri camp and controlled it.

The army also seized control over “Kahbob” mountain range, the rebels militia fled its positions leaving behind them ammunition and weapons depots, the source confirmed.

The recaptured camp considered a great strategic military base because it connects four precincts of Bab-el-Mandeb, Dhubab, Al-Wazeyah and Mocha, as well as controls the main road that links Dhubab and Mocha port and the coastal line stretching to the port city of Hodiedah.
