Army enters Hodiedah airport, liberates large areas
National Army troops, backed by Arab coalition forces, stormed the International Airport of Hodiedah on Tuesday early morning following fierce battles against the Houthi coup militia.
“The army troops have entered the airport and started clearing it from the remnants Houthi rebels,” a field source told September Net.
The army forces is rapidly advancing inside the airport and the violent fighting is still ongoing, according to the source.
The source said the army has made another ground progress toward the center of Al-Duraihmi district, and the clashes is taking place now at ‘Al-Nakhl’ valley, which is close to the center.
Meanwhile, Saudi-led Arab coalition conducted intensive air raids on gatherings and different sites of the Houthi militia, which resulted, along the clashes, in killing and wounding dozens of elements in the militia ranks.
