Taiz.. National army achieves significant victories against militia

National army forces in Maqbanah front, west of Taiz city, have made significant field advancements during continuous battles against the Houthi coupists militia.

Colonel Hameed Al-Khulaidi, the commander of the front, said to September Net the army forces, in the past few days, retook control over seven villages of an estimated size 60 Km2 and several key positions including the strategic series of mountains of “Al-Aweed”, as well as another villages overlooking Al-Akhlood region.

Col. Al-Khulaidi added that the Hills of “Al-Nobah” were also completely secured from the militia, pointing out these hills are strategically important as they overlook “Bani Ali” region, which is an access for the army to reach the area of “Kamb Alsoghra”.

“Houthi rebels are collapsing and breaking down, adding that the national army at the warfront of Maqbanah district will keep its progress towards Taiz- Hodeidah main road, just 4 km away from the army.

He noted that Maqbanah is a key front in Taiz because it’s the western gate of the city and its liberation would break the 3-year-long siege imposed by the Houthi militia, besides that Taiz will be re-connected with the southern provinces through the coast.

In the same context, Taiz Military Axis Command released a report revealing that the numbers of Houthi putschists militia who were killed and injured in battles and air raids in the city’s fronts over the past two months amounted to “nearly 285 dead and 347 injured.

The report also mentioned that a large numbers of combat vehicles and equipment belonged to the militia were also destroyed in the same period.
