Army experts extract 500 Houthi-laid landmines in Sa’ada

The armed forces experts have extracted 500 mines and improvised explosive devices left by the Houthi militia in Ketaf in Sa’ada before fleeing the district against the advance of the army.

A military source told September Net that “the engineering teams removed about 200 anti-vehicle landmines and 300 anti-personnel mines including camouflaged ones.

The Yemeni army experts have unearthed and dismantled more than tens of thousands of various landmines Houthis planted in warfronts but the rebels’ carefully camouflaged landmines in residential areas have killed and injured hundreds of civilians over the past three years.
