Al-Bayda… Army troops achieve significant victories in Baqem

National Army forces back by Arab Coalition warplanes have made significant advancements in the south of Sa’ada province after fierce battles against Houthi coup militia on Wednesday.
Brig.Gen. Yasser Alharethi, Commander of 102nd brigade, stated to September Net that the army troops regained control over the mountains of Al-Asoad, Gharah, Almasane’ and also the village of Mhdeed in Baqem district.
The army troops also managed to impose a fire control over the international roadline linking between Baqem district and Alab international port.
At least 25 Houthi coup militiamen were killed , many more wounded while others including ground leaders were captured by the army troops along with large quantity of multiple weapons and telecommunication devices, Alharethi added.
The engineering teams of the army continue cleaning roads and farms from the landmines and explosive devices planted by Houthi coupists before fleeing ahead of the advance of the army troops.
Brig.Gen. Aziz Alkhatabi, Commander of 3rd Brigade Border guards, said to September Net that the army forces have launched yesterday evening several attacks against Houthi coup militia in the center of Baqem district.
Alkhatabi added that dozens Houthi insurgents were killed and wounded as well as heavy losses in combat equipment were recorded among militia’s ranks during the battles.
