Houthi militia escalating violations against civilians

Iran-backed Houthi putschist militia has stepped up its attrocities against civilians during past few days. This coincides the start of the UN-led peace consultations held in the Swedish capital, Stockholm.
The militias shelled by rockets a number of civilian populated villages and neighborhoods in several Yemeni provinces, flagrantly violating the international laws and norms of civilian protection.
Houthi attacks resulted in civilian casualties including women and children, the destruction of people’s homes and severe damages of public infrastructure.
In the port city of Hodieda western the country, Houthi militia broke into several residential homes, turned them into military barracks and arms depots, and seized dozens of families to use them as human shields. They have forcibly displaced other families as well.
Earlier last month, Houthi militiamen shelled with mortar shells a public market in Hais district south of Hodeida, leaving number of citizens injured and extensive damages on several commercial shops.
Next day, the militia bombarded Zaed residential neighborhood, killing an elderly woman and seriously wounding a young girl. Similar bombing targeted the district of Hais and killed the citizen Derham Mohammed Marari and injured four other civilians.
On the same day, Houthis also fired rocket shells but at night, on inhabited houses in the city of Hodeida, leaving several people martyred and wounded including women and children.
Just hours later, dozens of heavily armed
heavily armed raided Dar-Alsalam Hospital and transferred it into military barracks. They also put heavy weapons on the the roof of the hospital and prevented 12 religious female of different nationality and other workers from leaving.
Last Thursday, the terrorist Houthi militia used mortar shells in bombing the houses of people, killing one child and injuring two others, as well as damaging property.
The Houthi rebels continued their ongoing escalation and shelled City Max Trade Center which was fully destroyed and burned to ashes. The trade store contained goods worth billions of Yemeni rials.
In Tehaita district, the militia indiscriminately shelled several civilian houses with artillery shells and completely destroyed them and severely affected nearby houses.
In the northern province of Hajja, Houthi artillery randomly shelled residential houses in Aldeer village, inflicting heavy losses on the villagers’ possessions. Few days ago the militia also shelled the same village and killed the citizen Mohammed Hameed al-Rasaea’, and wounded several members of his family
