Fierce clashes between the national army forces and Iranian Houthi militia took place Sunday in Makabanah front west of Taiz province.

The fierce battles erupted following the militia infiltration attempt into army’s positions in the areas of Thambiah, Al-Nabee and Barakah mountain.

The army managed to thwart the militia’s attempt and forced to flee, after killing and injuring a number of their elements.

Moreover, the militia bombed a number of civilian houses with mortars resulted in heavy damage to civilian properties.
