An Uzbek Orthopedic doctor died on Friday in a Houthi militia-run prison in Ibb province, south of the country, according to a local source.

The source said that the doctor Azzam (55 years) died in a prison in Yarim district eastern the province as a result of physical and psychological torture by the Houthi militia while in detention.

Last Tuesday, the Iranian-backed Houthi militia stormed the house of Dr. Azzam and kidnapped him with another doctor from Tajikistan and a Yemeni man.
