Houthi rebels kill, injure 13 civilians in Taiz

13 civilians among them women and children have been killed and wounded by Houthi militias’ shelling on Tuesday in Taiz city, southwest of the country.

Local sources said to September Net the Houthi coup militia targeted with mortar shells the neighborhood of Alzera’ah downtown the city.

One woman was killed and other 12 civilians including women and children sustained different injuries and also a civilian’s car was burned, according to the sources.

The Iran-backed Houthi militia invaded Yemen’s third largest city, Taiz, earlier in 2015, and since then they have been laying a tightened siege around the city’s entrances, denying access of food and medicine, heavily and randomly targeting the civilians with artillery and Katyusha rockets and directs snipers attacks, resulting in the killing and wounding of thousands of unarmed citizens.
