Houthi coup militias have killed a mother and injured her children in Hodeidah where the rebel militia failed a UN-sponsored agreement that provides for their withdrawal from the Red Sea port city.

The local Media Center of the armed forces said the Houthis killed Saadah Ali Showeiki and critically injured her children Abdurahman Waheed Salman, 6, and Salman Waheed Salman, 8, by a mortar shell. The rebel militia fired on their house in Hays city south of the provincial capital of Hodeidah on Friday evening.

As the helpers gathered within minutes to the house to make what rescue they can, the militants fired a second mortar shell injuring 30-year-old Hizam Naji Hizam and 25-year-old Hosam Kaeel. Hizam died upon his arrival at a local hospital.

The attack is only the latest in a series of massacres the militia has been committing since the UN-brokered Hodeidah truce entered into effect on December 18.
