Yemen, Spain discuss activating treaties, memos of understandings

Yemen’s Ambassador to Spain Nabil Maysary discussed on Thursday with Director of Cooperation Department with Africa and Asia in the Spanish International Cooperation Agency developments in Yemen and catastrophic situations over Houthi militia’s war on the people.

The two parties also discussed government efforts for normalizing conditions in liberated provinces.

Maysary hoped Spanish Agency’s support for activating treaties and memos of understandings signed between the two countries and for new projects in reconstruction domain in Yemen, as well as increasing humanitarian aid to emergency cases.

He pointed to significance of including Yemen within countries in the forthcoming quartet cooperation plan.

For her part, the Spanish official confirmed care of her country in ongoing developments in Yemen and supporting UN-sponsored political process, pointing out that Spain has a role within the European Union in Yemen.

She also pointed out that her country’s government takes care of supporting humanitarian situation for alleviating suffering of the Yemeni people.
