Japan provided financial grant to the World Food Organization (FAO) worth eight million USD on Thursday for supporting the organization’s efforts in boosting food security in Yemen.
In a release to the organization, the FAO said the donation aims at helping the FAO’s activity in supporting food security to families.
The donation will help realizing food security via providing agricultural interventions and services, distributing grains and beans and taking care of animal wealth through implementing “fund for work” principle, said the organization.
The organization pointed out that such efforts will help more than 27 thousand people suffer from lack of food security to produce food and generate income through providing working opportunities in rural areas.
