Training course on human rights to Yemeni community concluded in Morocco

The first training course on human rights and transitional justice to Yemeni community concluded in Rebat on Saturday.

The course was organized by the Yemeni Embassy in cooperation with the National Council for Human Rights and Idris Binzikri Institute for Making Human Rights.

Participated by 30 participants, the course included program on human rights, the International Humanitarian Law and Principles of Transitional Justice.

Yemen’s Ambassador to Morocco Ezuddin al-Asbahi talked about cooperation project between the National council for Human Rights and the Yemeni Embassyin Rebat. This cooperation includes three training courses during the first half of 2009 in addition to workshops on justice, human rights, boosting peace track and transitional justice and exchanging expertise in fields needed by Yemeni community.

For his part, the Director of the National Institute for Making Human Rights in Morocco Younus Agri expressed happiness for this cooperation, confirming unique idea and good reaction of Yemeni participants.

The institute will work on boosting cooperation with Yemeni embassy for providing available expertise to Yemeni community in Morocco, he said.
