Vice president, British ambassador discuss bilateral relations

Vice President Lt. Gen. Ali Mohsen Saleh and the British ambassador to Yemen Michael Aaron discussed latest developments in the national arena and ways to strengthen bilateral ties between the two friendly countries.

In a meeting in Riyadh on Tuesday, Vice President appreciated UK’s support for legitimate government and keenness to realize security and peace in Yemen

The meeting addressed efforts have been made to implement the Stockholm Agreement, and its understandings reached about Hodeidah province.

Lt. Gen. Mohsen reiterated that the government headed by President Hadi supports UN efforts aimed at peace. He said the government has  taken great steps to facilitate the implementation of the Hodeida deal versus the Houthi militia’s continued intransigence and seriousness

The Vice President cited the Yemeni people’s daily suffering over the Houthi putschist militia’s ongoing crimes that include killing, kidnapping and looting public and private property

For his part, the British ambassador stressed his country’s interest in supporting Yemen and its people, achieving lasting peace and implementing the Stockholm Agreement.
