Yemen participates in UN Environment General Assembly’s Forth Meeting

The Republic of Yemen has participated on Monday in the opening ceremony of the Forth Meeting of the United Nations’ Environment General Assembly in Nairobi by a delegation headed by Minister of Water and Environment Dr. Ezzi Shuraim.
Participated by 100 countries, the five-day meeting aims at working with the governments for encouraging samples of sustainable and urban development and boosting preparations of environment researches.
It also aims at collecting and using scientific data, boosting process of taking decision on scientific foundations, speeding up implementation and boosting cooperation between multi-party treaties and current agreements and systems for banning pollution and limiting it.
The meeting tackles encouraging approval of good policies for managing chemical substances and wastes.
