Rasd Coalition reports Houthi militias’ Crimes against Civilians in Hajoor to UN HRC

The Yemeni Coalition for Monitoring Human Rights Violations “Rasd Coalition” reported Houthis militias’ violations against civilians in Hajoor, Hajjah Province.
The Executive Director of the Alliance Mutahar al-Bathaji said in a statement he delivered at the Human Rights Council on the sidelines of the 40th session being held in Geneva that what has been happening for weeks in Hajoor area, Hajjah province requires the council attention to apprehend the size of the catastrophe and danger of the systematic violations against civilians.
“At this moment, Houthi militias are barbarically destroying this area, leaving a number of victims among civilians, mainly women, children and aged,” he added.
“The militias are besieging the area for banning civilians’ relocation at less danger areas, the same scenario the militias have been applying in Taiz for four years and Houthi militias has not respond yet to minimum level of Stockholm Agreement for peace,” he said.
He pointed out that human rights violations have been doubled in Yemen recently as 11267 people have been killed and 23759 others wounded, mainly children and women. He held Houthis militia the responsibility of these violations.
Al-Bathiji, demanded the UN Human Rights Council to provide more support to Yemeni civil society organizations to be able to monitor all major violations and holding perpetrators countable.
