Yemen seeks resuming UNEP’s projects

Environment Minister Azmi Shuraim met Saturday in Aden with the Executive Director of United National Environment Program (UNEP) Inger Andersen.
The session devoted to discuss resuming the implementation of projects that are funded by UNEP and that were halted in Yemen, including the project of Early Warning Center of Hurricanes in Soctra and Mahra.
The meeting also touched upon the significance of opening a branch office for UNEP in the temporary capital Aden, according to the Yemeni News Agency, Saba.
The UN official said that they are aware of Yemen’s suffering, stressing on working to provide support to Yemen.
