Yemeni movie wins Wasit International Film Award in Iraq

The Yemeni movie ” A Palace refuses Forgetfulness” won the Best Editing and Screenplay Award at Wasit International Film Festival in Iraq, in which 45 films from Arab countries competed.

The film crew consists of  three young Yemenis from Hadramout province, namely Youssef Al Hassani director and photographer, Ahmed Habashi cinematographer and Mohamed Hassan Monet.

The three young people will also participate in the Lagos Festival in Nigeria and the Souss International Festival this year after the film, among hundreds of films, has been nominated for the final competitive competitions at the two festivals.

They won the best photography award two years ago at the Alexandria International Short Film Festival for their documentary film “Identity Researchers”.
