The Arab coalition supporting Yemeni legitimate government confirmed that the Houthi militia is continuing to violate international and humanitarian law and possess certain qualitative capabilities such as unmanned aerial vehicles, Coalition spokesman said.

Col. Turki Al-Maliki said at a press conference that the Houthi militia had targeted Saudi border towns several times, the most recent incident taking place in Abha last Friday, but the Saudi Royal Air Defense Force had shot down a drone that was targeting civilians.

The drone wreckage showed the characteristics and specifications of Iranian manufacturing, he said, which proved Iran was continuing to smuggle arms to the militia.

He said the coalition was making efforts to neutralize ballistic missiles and dismantle their capabilities, as the coalition’s joint command would not allow the militia to possess weapons that threatened civilian lives and peace.

221 ballistic missiles and 70,802 projectiles were launched by Iran-backed Houthi militia at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from the beginning of military operation until today,  Al-Maliki said.

He also confirmed that the Arab coalition destroyed 120 sea mines planted by Houthi militia.

Al-Maliki reiterated that the Houthis were targeting Yemeni civilians and continued to violate international laws.

The spokesman stated that the Houthi militia committed more than 7921 violations of international humanitarian law against Yemenis. The rebel militia displaced about 5,000 families in Kushar district of Hajjah province.

He also urged Yemenis to try their best to prevent children from being captured by Houthis, who were using them as human shields and child soldiers.

He said that the Arab coalition destroyed 120 sea mines planted by Houthi militia.

He pointed out that the Arab coalition forces targeted scores of combat vehicles belong to Houthi militia in different areas of Sa’ada and Hajjah provinces, killing more than 1148 Houthi militiamen.
