A father and his little daughter injured by Houthis’ mine

One civilians and his daughter were injured in a landmine explosion left by Houthi militias in their house before withdraw from the area in the south of Hodeidah province, northwestern Yemen.

The mine exploded when the father trying to move a bed from one room to another in his house in the district of al-Durayhimi.

The explosion caused the amputation of the citizen’s leg and wounded him with shrapnel throughout his body, while his child sustained multiple injuries.

Prior to its withdrawal from the area, the militia was stationed in a number of houses, most of them planted with mines and explosive devices, which caused the residents to return to their homes with large numbers of victims.
