Yemen’s Cabinet called on the United Nations to take effective action against Houthi militia’s violations of the ceasefire deal in Hodeidah province, west of the country.
In its regular meeting in Aden on Wednesday, The Cabinet called upon the UN Security Council to take real measures against Houthis instead of verbal condemnations which don’t subdue the coupist militia from their defiance to the public will and to the international community.
The Cabinet addressed the continuing Houthi denial of WFP officials access to grains stores for five months now and the consequent risk that thousands of tons of wheat will rot unused.
The Cabinet called it a criminal act and an episode in the series of Houthi crimes that have been taking place since the coup of September 2014.
