Yemen GVT confirms facilities provision for international organizations work

Local Administration Minister and Chairman of the Higher Relief Committee (CHRC) Abdu Al-raqib Fatah confirmed  the government’s emphasis on providing support and facilities for the work of UN and international organizations to carry out their programs and humanitarian relief projects, and the government  keenness to reach all provinces without exception.

In his speech on Tuesday, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), from the GCC countries to Yemen, Fatah stressed the importance of the humanitarian response plan for 2019 as a qualitative transfer in relief and humanitarian work by ensuring speedy access to aid to beneficiaries in all provinces without obstacles, assuring that the displaced and the affected groups are included in the areas controlled by the Houthi militias.

It is important that humanitarian responses be evaluated during the previous stages and any aspects shortfalls in previous response processes.

All ports and airports in the liberated provinces are available to receive relief and humanitarian materials provided by donors through international organizations, he stressed.

The importance of optimizing the use of ports in receiving relief materials and delivering them to the beneficiaries in the nearby provinces within the framework of the organizations, saving time and costs in the delivery.
