Houthi targets army sites and civilians in Hodeida
The Iran-backed Houthi militia continues to escalate and violate Hodeida cease-fire through shelling positions of the national Army forces and other civilian areas in the western province of Hodeidah.
On Wednesday, the Houthi militia, with heavy and medium weapons, targeted the army sites positions of in the district of Hayes, south of the province.
The Houthi militia used 12.7 and 14.5 weapons intensively, in addition to the use of howled artillery. Also, this morning, the militia bombed civilian homes and residential neighborhoods in the same directorate.
The shelling caused significant damage to people’s houses , as well as terror and panic among them, especially women and children.
Meanwhile, the Spokesman of the National Armed forces Brig. Gen. Abdu Mujali said Houthi rebel militia has committed 2517 violations of cease-fire truce in Hodeidah since it started last December.
These violations has resulted in killing 119 civilians and wounding 685 others, the spokesman said during his regular press conference in Marib on Wednesday.
He noted that the rebel militia has been targeting a number of vital facilities, preventing workers from return to their work at the Red Sea Mills in the western province of Hodeida.
