A civilian has sustained life-threatening injury on Wednesday after being shot by a sniper of Iran-backed Houthi militia in Taiz city.

Local sources said “the terrorist militia sniped citizen Abdullah Al-Abas while he was on his way home in Al-Akroodh area eastern the province.”

The victim was critically wounded and taken to hospital immediately for treatment, the sources added.

Houthi militia has killed hundreds of civilians in Taiz including women and children by sniper shooting alone since the rebels’ invasion of the city in 2015
