Minister of Transportation Saleh al-Jabwani inspected on Monday activities of Aden Gulf Ports Corporation and challenges facing it.

The Minister said that talks are underway with a number of countries and insurance companies for providing equipment and capabilities needed for infrastructure of the port for providing better service and receiving giant ships.

He also praised efforts have been exerted for regaining the role of the corporation and regaining activities of Aden Port after Houthi militias war on Aden in 2015.

For his part, the Director of Aden Gulf Ports Corporation Mohammad Amzrih reviewed steps of the corporation’s activities and challenges facing it since its liberation from Houthi militia.

Amzrih made it clear that the port has received during the first four months of this year 1.1 million ton of goods, including 100 thousand metric tons of aid comparing to 440 tons in 2018 and the port unloade
