2600 schools destroyed by Houthi militia

Minister of Education Dr. Abdullah Lamlas said the ongoing war has been waging by the putschist Houthi militia has damaged more than 2600 schools in different Yemeni provinces, noting that Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has largely contributed to manage many challenges facing educational drive in Yemen.

Lamlas’s statement came as he was speaking at launching a project titled” Together for Education in Yemen. The Project launched on Sunday by KSrelief Center in collaboration with Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Command of Saudi-led Arab Coalition Forces in Saudi capital Riyadh.

The project is set to provide over 50 thousand of schools chairs and desks will be distributed to 14 Yemeni governorates.
