In conjunction with the “Abductee’s Day”, April 18, Abductees’ Mothers Association (AMA) called on Yemenis to form a national, social and legal alliance in which efforts gather to release abductees in prisons and detention centers run by Houthi militia.

During a protest in Ibb city, on Saturday morning, the Association also called on the Security Council and the United Nations to assume their responsibilities in the protection of human rights.

“The Abductee’s Day comes while the mothers’ hearts are loaded with sadness and sorrow in light of abducting their children and making them disappear in Houthi militia-controlled detention places,” a statement said.

The mothers also appealed to all international and local human rights and legal organizations to support them in rescuing the abductees and those who were forcibly disappeared.
