Houthi militia’s violations and atrocities have targeted all Yemeni people even women, in blatant disregard for the norms and values of the Yemeni conservative society.

Houthi militia has recruited militiawomen called ‘Al-Zanainabit’. These women’s task is to attack, spy on and kidnap women, break into their houses and spread the theocratic and terrorist ideology of the group among women..

The Iran-backed insurgency group has recently celebrated graduating a new all-female unit, which joined the religiously branded ‘Zaynabiyat’ force.

The new unit is said to be led by Zainab al-Gharbani and holds light arms and electric shock weapons.

Several months ago the Houthi militia celebrated graduating the first female Battalion led by Ishraq al-Shami.

As for its mission, the unit will be deployed to actively disband women protesters holding frequent demonstrations in the Houthi-held capital, Sanaa, and other territory run by coup militias.

More than 4,000 women have been trained by foreign military experts from Iran, Lebanon and Iraq in top Houthi-run areas, namely Sa’ada, Sana’a, Dhamar and Amran.

Sources said that at least 15 Houthi female leaders have been trained in Iran.

Local reports say several female demonstrations in Sana’a were suppressed by Zaynabiyat personnel, who engaged in physical violence against protesters and arrested hundreds of Yemeni women.
